2.3.2. Sources in Terminology Research

Knowledge can be extracted from both written and oral specialized sources. Sources must be evaluated and selected according to certain criteria. In order for extracted information to be useful to terminology research, analysis and recording, it must always be presented as a citation from written documentation or as a quotation of a specialist's statement. This allows for further corroboration, comparison and selection of the best textual support in any record of terminology information.
