5.5.4. Standards Databases

Information and standards are increasingly being stored electronically. Similarly, terminology databases are being used ever more frequently to manage standardized terminology at the level of an entire organization. The electronic storage of terminology makes it possible to create hyperlinks between the defined terms and the terminology used in one or more standards. Both the IEC and ITU manage their standardized terminology in databases.
