In 1989, the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) launched the National Contaminated Sites Remediation Program (NCSRP), sponsored and administered by bilateral agreements between the federal government and the provincial and territorial governments. One of the components of the NCSRP is the DESRT (Development and Demonstration of Site Remediation Technology) Program, which ran from 1992 to 1995. Environment Canada worked in conjunction with firms in the environmental industry to stimulate the development and demonstration of innovative techniques aimed at providing solutions to contaminated site cleanup operations. 1, record 1, English, - Development%20and%20Demonstration%20of%20Site%20Remediation%20Technology

En 1989, le Conseil canadien des ministres de l'Environnement (CCME) a élaboré le Programme national d'assainissement des lieux contaminés (PNALC) parrainé et administré par des accords bilatéraux conclus entre le gouvernement fédéral et les gouvernements provinciaux et territoriaux. Un des volets du PNALC est le programme DéTALC (Développement et démonstration de techniques d'assainissement de lieux contaminés) réalisé entre 1992 et 1995.
