The Ecosystem Management group is recognized as a small but effective unit which presently operates on the management principle of being "broker" rather than "doer" by building capacity at the field to deliver programs. As a result of the organizational review, a strategic decision was made to limit the reductions to this unit in order to be able to respond to future trends and needs within this dynamic and critical portfolio.
