Bill C-9, An Act to amend the Patent Act and the Food and Drugs Act (also known as The Jean Chrétien Pledge to Africa), received Royal Assent on May 14, 2004. Le projet de loi C-9 sur l'amendement à la Loi sur les brevets et à la Loi sur les aliments et drogues du Canada (Loi de l'engagement de Jean Chrétien envers l'Afrique) a reçu la sanction royale le 14 mai 2004.
