La création de l'AAPQ a été motivée par les objectifs suivants : . Défendre, promouvoir et représenter les intérêts des agences de publicité du Québec auprès des organismes et milieux gouvernementaux, milieux d'affaires, associations de médias ou médias particuliers, syndicats, organismes de protection du consommateur et autres associations du monde de la communication, au Canada comme à l'étranger; Contribuer à l'amélioration de la qualité de la publicité; - Entente collective des annonces publicitaires entre l'Union des Artistes et l'Association des producteurs conjoints - Calcul des hausses tarifaires - Grille de tarif.
