The mission of the Society is to promote and foster horticultural science in Canada. This will be accomplished through the following objectives: with annual conferences, occasional international congresses, and focused symposia, to provide members with the opportunity to report and discuss new discoveries, concepts and practices in the horticultural arts and sciences; through newsletters, publications and other forms of communication, to contribute to the archival record of the history of and knowledge about horticultural science in Canada; to provide an unbiased professional voice in the development of public policy relating to horticultural science and technology in Canada; to promote professional networking between and among horticulture sub disciplines. 1, record 1, English, - Canadian%20Society%20for%20Horticultural%20Science

La Société a pour mandat de contribuer au développement de la science horticole au Canada et de faciliter la pratique de l’horticulture. Pour réaliser son mandat, elle s’est donné les objectifs suivants : organiser des conférences annuelles, d’occasionnels congrès internationaux et des colloques à thème qui permettront aux membres de présenter les découvertes les plus récentes et des pratiques et des concepts nouveaux dans le domaine des sciences et des arts horticoles; contribuer à la conservation de documents d’archive qui permettent de faire l’historique de l’horticulture au Canada et de répertorier les connaissances, au moyen de bulletins, de publications et d’autres outils de communication; fournir une voix professionnelle impartiale dans le développement de la politique officielle relative à la science et à la technologie horticoles au pays; faciliter le maillage professionnel parmi les personnes travaillant dans un même sous-domaine d’horticulture et parmi celles travaillant dans des sous-domaines différents. 1, record 1, French, - Soci%C3%A9t%C3%A9%20canadienne%20de%20science%20horticole
