The Climate Change Action Fund (CCAF) was established by the federal government to help Canada meet the commitments it made in December 1997 at the Third Conference of the Parties (COP3), an international climate change meeting, in Kyoto, Japan. The CCAF was announced in the 1998 federal budget, where $150 million was allocated over three years to support the development of an implementation strategy to meet these commitments and to facilitate early action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 1, record 1, English, - Climate%20Change%20Action%20Fund

Le Fonds d'action pour le changement climatique (FACC) a été créé par le gouvernement fédéral en vue d'aider le Canada à respecter les engagements pris en décembre 1997, à la troisième réunion de la Conférence des Parties (CDP3), une rencontre internationale sur les changements climatiques, à Kyoto (Japon).
