In November of 1997 the Advertising and Public Opinion Research Sector (APORS), the Public Relations and Print Contract Services Sector (PCPCS) and Reference Canada were integrated to form a new branch called the Communication Coordination Services Branch. The mandate of this branch is to provide corporate leaderhsip in harmonizing the delivery of government messages and in the provision of effective procurement and professional services in the areas of public relations, advertising, printing, public opinion research and communications services.
