Created in 1906, this park, the only one to be fenced, retains the English name in apposition in French because of the length of time the error has been repeated and because of the cost that would be involved in changing it. On January 12, 2001, the words "of Canada" were added to the names of national parks, national park reserves and national historic sites. The addition should be systematically used on cover pages, in titles, headings and at the beginning of documents.
