The Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement is an out-of-court settlement which represents the consensus reached in the discussions between the Government of Canada, legal counsel for former students, the Churches, the Assembly of First Nations and other Aboriginal organizations. The implementation of this historic agreement brings a fair and lasting resolution to the legacy of Indian Residential Schools.
