Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium is a postemergence herbicide, i.e. a herbicide applied after the crop has emerged above the ground. It is applied to field corn using ground application equipment to control broadleaf and grassy weeds.

L'iodosulfuron-méthyl-sodium est un herbicide de postlevée, c'est-à-dire un herbicide appliqué une fois que les plants sont apparus à la surface du sol.
