The performance incentive fee (PIF) identified in Annex "B" Basis of Payment, is being made available by DND [Department of National Defence] to encourage the contractor to provide the management, labour and supervision required to provide excellent performance under the contract. The amount of PIF payable will be determined by the Performance Incentive Fee Board (PIF Board), in accordance with the Evaluation Plan approved by the PIF Board and the Contractor, and will not be subject to appeal. The maximum PIF amount is paid for achieving the maximum level of beneficial performance.
