[Modélisation des couleurs] - le modèle RVB (Rouge, Vert, Bleu), ou RGB en anglais, qui utilise les trois couleurs fondamentales de la synthèse additive. Ce modèle est plus particulièrement adapté à l'affichage des couleurs sur écran. L'ensemble des couleurs affichables résulte de combinaisons des couleurs de base au sein de ce qu'on a coutume d'appeler une table de couleurs (LUT ou «look-up table» en anglais). Il suffit alors pour modifier la palette des couleurs affichées ou affichables de modifier la table des couleurs.
