SaskPower is the principal supplier of electricity in Saskatchewan. Founded as the Saskatchewan Power Commission in 1929, SaskPower was incorporated as a provincial Crown corporation in 1949 and operates under the mandate and authority of The Power Corporation Act. In order to provide an assured focus in an ever-changing business environment, it is important to update and refine strategic direction statements. Our vision, mission, values and strategic priorities were revised and updated in 2009 to reflect current corporate priorities, as well as our ongoing commitment to the social and economic well-being of the province of Saskatchewan.
