The STEC is a national consultative forum that considers and provides recommendations on engineering issues related to the development of spectrum policy regulations and standards; thereby ensuring the orderly implementation of the Spectrum and Telecommunications Program. Members of STEC consist of a Chairperson (the DDGSE) a Secretary (DDGSE) representatives from each region and the following Directorates [of Industry Canada]: DASM, DBCP, DCE, DOS (DGRB), DSE, DSI, DSIR, DSRS, DTE and DWST.
