This project aims to strengthen the capacity of governments to promote and protect children's rights in three countries in Latin America and the Caribbean region. State institutions, communities and civil society organizations work together to: (1) implement and/or revise national plans to promote and protect children and adolescent rights; (2) improve civil registry systems for children; (3) develop programs and policies that facilitate children's participation on issues that concern them; and (4) implement communication strategies to raise awareness of the rights of children and adolescents. Ce projet vise à renforcer la capacité des institutions gouvernementales à promouvoir et à protéger les droits des enfants de trois pays en Amérique latine et la région des Caraïbes. Les institutions étatiques, les collectivités et les organisations de la société civile travaillent ensemble pour : 1) mettre en œuvre ou réviser les plans nationaux et les systèmes de suivi qui protègent les droits des enfants et des adolescents et qui en font la promotion; 2) améliorer les systèmes de registre civil pour les enfants; 3) élaborer des programmes et des politiques qui facilitent la participation des enfants aux questions qui les concernent; 4) mettre en œuvre des stratégies de communication pour sensibiliser les principaux intervenants aux droits des enfants et des adolescents.
