English

Subject field(s)
  • Air Pollution
CONT

... will the anti-acid capacity of the soil be sufficient to counteract the acid stress directly on the leaves, stems and seed pods of crops? For how long? And what of the thousands of square miles of agricultural land which is not fertilized, or the even larger areas of untended grazing land? What effect has acid rain had, what effect will it reveal, and how soon? At present, there simply isn't enough scientific information to answer these questions.
