Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
Treatment of hydrocarbon-bearing carbonate or sand formations with a solution of hydrochlorine acid and other chemicals to increase production. The acid is forced under pressure into the formation where it enlarges the floor channels by dissolving the formation. 6, record 1, English, - acidizing
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Acidizing. Varied volumes of hydrochloric acid are used in limestone and dolomite or other acid-soluble formations to dissolve the existing flow-channel walls and enlarge them ... High-pressure equipment, pumps, and wellheads are necessary for satisfactory performance. Fast pumping speeds and acid inhibitors are used to alleviate corrosion of the well equipment. 2, record 1, English, - acidizing

2, record 1, French, - acidification
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
3, record 1, French, - acidification
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT

A treatment, most often SO2, but in some cases H2SO4 or HCl, applied a) After a final chlorine dioxide, hyprochlorite or peroxide stage to destroy residual bleaching agent and remove metal ions which prevents brightness loss and avoids fibre degradation, and to create a pH favourable for brightness stability (alkaline pulps tend to yellow on exposure to light and air); b) As a pretreatment before an oxygen stage, which tends to improve both brightness and physical strength, probably by removing metal ions from pulp; and c) Between stages, such as peroxide-hydrosulphite, to eliminate the washing steps by creating acid conditions necessary for the hydrosulphite stage, and to destroy residual peroxide by reduction which would otherwise consume costly hydrosulphite; d) Has been used in place of a chelation stage in a TCF sequence with peroxide. In this application the PH is very important. 1, record 3, English, - acid%20treatment

1, record 3, French, - traitement%20%C3%A0%20l%27acide
