Somme versée au crédit d'un compte ouvert dans les livres d'une entreprise au nom de celui qui effectue le versement. Ainsi, dans les entreprises moyennes, il est fréquent que les actionnaires dirigeants fassent verser sur leur compte courant les appointements qu'ils perçoivent de l'entreprise et tirent sur ce compte au fur et à mesure de leurs besoins. On estime souvent que les sommes ainsi laissées par les actionnaires dirigeants dans l'entreprise constituent des fonds propres complémentaires.
