Procédé au sulfate [...] Trois termes sont employés presque indifféremment pour désigner ce procédé. Si l'on voulait établir une hiérarchie, le terme générique serait «procédé alcalin», terme englobant procédé kraft, procédé au sulfate et procédé à la soude. Ce dernier étant en pratique abandonné, procédé alcalin devient synonyme de procédé au sulfate. Quant au procédé kraft, il devrait être réservé au procédé produisant une pâte au sulfate non blanchie, très résistante.
