Méthode de comptabilité qui consiste, après que l'on a enregistré les opérations d'une entité, à répartir les rentrées ou les sorties de fonds s'y rapportant soit sur un certain nombre d'exercices (par exemple la répartition du coût d'un bien sur plusieurs exercices sous forme d'amortissement), soit sur un certain nombre de produits, centres ou sections (par exemple la ventilation du salaire d'un cadre pour un exercice donné).

OBS

Le processus de ventilation n'a pour but que de déterminer le résultat d'un exercice ou le coût complet d'un produit, d'une section ou d'un service et n'a aucun effet comme tel sur le flux de trésorerie.
