Environment Canada has published technical recommendations for environmental and worker health protection covering the five major wood preservation processes used in Canada. The chemicals used in these processes are creosote, chromated copper arsenate (CCA), ammoniacal copper arsenate (ACA), and pentachlorophenol (PCP).
