[...] Traitement des minerais : Les fonderies traitent ces minerais, titrant 45 % ou plus, pour obtenir, soit le crudum (sulfure d'antimoine liquaté), soit le métal, soit l'oxyde. a) obtention d'un crudum : le crudum marchand est un sulfure d'antimoine liquaté titrant 70 %. Il est obtenu par la simple liquation du minerai, opération qui élimine pratiquement toute la gangue. Celle-ci retient un peu de stibine, en quantités variables suivant sa nature. Le crudum marchand convient pour la fabrication des allumettes et des feux de bengale, mais ne peut pas être employé directement dans la pyrotechnie pour la préparation des amorces et des détonateurs électriques.
