A bone-anchored hearing aid is a type of hearing aid based on bone conduction. It is primarily suited to people who have conductive hearing losses, unilateral hearing loss and people with mixed hearing losses who cannot otherwise wear conventional hearing aids.

L’appareil auditif à ancrage osseux est un autre type d’appareil auditif, qui peut être recommandé dans des cas particuliers, par exemple pour une personne avec une surdité unilatérale (juste une oreille) ou une surdité conductive. Il comporte deux parties : le processeur et l’implant. Le processeur (petite boîte) s’attache à un implant inséré chirurgicalement dans l’os du crâne, derrière l’oreille.
