A tumor-associated antigen occurring on lymphoblasts in about 80 per cent of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and also in 40-50 per cent of patients with blastic phase chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). It does not occur on normal lymphoid cells except during fetal development.
