DEF

In EMYCIN the context tree forms the backbone of the consultant program. It is a structured arrangement of the objects (contexts) or conceptual entities that constitute the consultation domain. There may be one or more contexts. A static context tree is an arrangement of context types (e.g., a patient for whom cultures have been prepared). A dynamic context tree is an arrangement of context instances (e.g., John Smith with a morning culture and an afternoon culture).
