Record 1 2017-12-05

English

Subject field(s)
  • Visual Disorders
DEF

Retinal swelling and cyst formation in macular area; usually results in temporary decrease in vision, though may be permanent. Frequently occurs to some extent after cataract surgery, though specific cause is unknown.

CONT

Even successful cataract surgery, however, increases the likelihood of subsequent retinal detachment, and a small percentage of eyes postoperatively develop prolonged cystoid macular edema with reduced acuity.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Troubles de la vision
CONT
