La débâcle est, au printemps, le premier résultat du dégel d'un cours d'eau. Elle est suivie d'une augmentation rapide du débit et de crues ou d'inondations, surtout si elle commence à se produire par l'amont, ce qui existe à une échelle gigantesque en Sibérie.
