La polarisation d'une antenne est celle du champ électrique E de l'onde qu'elle émet. Un dipôle demi-onde horizontal a donc une polarisation horizontale. Certaines antennes ont une polarisation elliptique ou circulaire (antenne hélice) ou une polarisation croisée (double-yagi dont les plans sont perpendiculaires).
