Extended high incidence beam mode operates outside of the optimum scan angle range of the SAR antenna. Some minor degradation in quality can be expected as compared to images produced using Standard beam mode. ... If data is stored on the tape recorder, its image size is expected to be 70 km.

OBS

Les angles d'incidence supérieurs à 49° sont couverts par les faisceaux à haute incidence jusqu'à un angle de 60°. Tout comme le faisceau à faible incidence, une dégradation mineure de l'image peut survenir puisque l'antenne fonctionne hors de ses capacités optimales. La résolution spatiale est la même que pour les faisceaux standards. Ce type de faisceau sera disponible en co-polarisation, en polarisation croisée ou en double-polarisation.
