After determination of the mean point of impact of the group, the distance from this point to the centre of each impact is measured and recorded. The sum of these measurements divided by the number of impacts of the group is the Mean Radial Deviation (MRD).

OBS

For satellite earth stations receiving systems, a figure of merit that equals G/T, where G is the gain in decibels of the earth station antenna at the receiving frequency and T is the equivalent noise temperature in kelvins of the receiving system.
