Fluid seals. When a reciprocating or rotating shaft extends from a bearing or a housing (enclosure) containing a fluid, such as a pump, a gearbox, or a hydraulic transmission, the shaft must be free to move relative to the housing, and at the same time leakage of fluids ... must be restricted. The purpose of a seal is to restrict the leakage with the least possible restraint on the relative motion. 3, record 1, English, - fluid%20seal

3, record 1, French, - joint%20d%27%C3%A9tanch%C3%A9it%C3%A9
