CONT

A furniture designer is a profession that can include both artistic flair and in-depth understanding of industrial function in conceiving and introducing designs. Employers of furniture designers may use them in wide roles; for instance, a home furnishings company may employ a furniture designer to create furniture with creative and decorative elements for homeowners. Some designers also work for furniture companies which create chairs and desks for classrooms or office/cubicle use. In this latter case, furniture designers are tasked with seeking function over form.
