Les constatations anatomo-pathologiques et éventuellement un patch-test cutané utilisant la limaille de l'implant lui-même constituent en effet les seuls moyens susceptibles d'établir ce diagnostic. Ces dermatoses peuvent résulter de mécanismes immuno-allergiques ou cyto-toxiques.
