Mécanisme bidirectionnel permettant l'optimisation de l'impression. Lorsque la tête d'impression arrive à la fin de la première ligne, elle saute directement au dernier mot de la deuxième ligne. L'impression se fait alors de droite à gauche, et ainsi de suite jusqu'à la fin du texte à taper.

OBS

Dans le cas où la tête d'impression arrive à la fin d'une ligne et que la ligne suivante ne comprend que quelques mots, la tête d'impression se rend au début de la ligne au lieu d'être obligée de passer sur une longue série sans caractères.
