Il est actuellement cliniquement asymptomatique mais son chiffre de lymphocytes CD4 circulants a diminué de 960 à 460 cellules/mm3 et la charge virale est de 19000 copies d'ARN/ml, suggérant qu'il ne s'agit pas d'un sujet non-progresseur à long terme.
