An extra proof from the corrected type when ready for machining. The machine operator generally sends a press revise to the machine reviser (at the printer's) who finally passes for press.

L'auteur ou l'éditeur vient voir sur la machine les dernières corrections effectuées. La nouvelle feuille tirée sur la presse après que les corrections ont été faites s'appelle «révision» et elle précède immédiatement le tirage définitif.
