Lissages. Ce sont des ouvrages de faible hauteur, n'excédant pas 1 m à 1,20 m, sauf dans des cas spéciaux tels que les haras, qui s'intègrent à tous les sites. Ils délimitent un terrain, et ne font pas obstacle à la vue. Ils constituent une barrière dissuasive, empêchant le promeneur ou le spectateur distrait de circuler à l'intérieur d'une propriété privée ou sur un terrain de jeux. On les trouve plus particulièrement dans les lotissements de maisons individuelles, terrains de sport, champs de courses, pâtures. Les lissages sont constitués de poteaux et de lisses qui peuvent être au nombre de un, deux ou trois suivant l'emploi, par exemple : un lisse, pour les stades; deux lisses cas le plus courant; trois lisses employés en particulier en clôtures pour chevaux.
