Another fascinating case, stretching the rescue doctrine to its limits, is Urbanski v. Patel, where a father, who donated a kidney to his daughter, sued the doctor whose negligence precipitated the event. He was successful, the court holding that it was "entirely foreseable that one of her family would be invited, and would agree, to donate a kidney for transplant, an act which accords, too, with the principle developed in many 'rescue cases'".

Une autre affaire très intéressante où l'on a étiré la doctrine du sauvetage à l'extrême limite est l'affaire Urbanski v. Patel, où un père qui avait donné un de ses reins à sa fille en vue d'une transplantation a poursuivi le médecin dont la négligence avait rendu l'intervention nécessaire. Le tribunal a accueilli sa demande, déclarant que l'on pourrait "facilement prévoir qu'un parent de la jeune fille serait invité à lui donner un rein pour une transplantation, et qu'il accepterait; c'est là un acte compatible avec le principe élaboré dans de nombreux 'cas de sauvetage'".
