Scraper marks having a close "washboard" effect on the face of a panel is a common result if the plywood is not subjected to adequate pressure during the scraping operation or if the knife is badly set.

Les panneaux équarris sont (...) passés au racloir ou à la ponceuse dans le but d'obtenir une surface unie et polie. Un racloir comporte des séries de rouleaux et de cylindres disposés les uns au-dessus des autres. Les rouleaux inférieurs entraînent le panneau et les cylindres supérieurs au nombre de 2 ou 3 sont constitués comme un porte-outils de raboteuse, mais de grandes dimensions (...)
