La prothèse mammaire auto-adhésive se compose d'une ou plusieurs structures en silicone enveloppées de polyuréthane, présente une cavité sur la face en contact avec le corps et se compose d'au moins deux couches de silicone de densité différente qui sont séparées par une couche de polyuréthane. Le tout est compris dans une enveloppe en polyuréthane. La couche de silicone couvrant la face en contact avec le corps doit épouser la forme anatomique de la surface du corps.
