Technique de chauffe dans laquelle le charbon pulvérisé est débarrassé de l'air de ventilation puis distribué aux brûleurs après mélange avec de l'air primaire.

Chauffe semi-directe. Dans ce procédé, à la sortie du broyeur, le charbon pulvérisé est envoyé dans un cyclone où il est séparé des gaz de ventilation du broyeur. Dans la chauffe semi-directe il n'y a pas interruption du circuit charbon; les circuits gazeux broyeur et air primaire sont parfaitement indépendants. (...) L'absence de stockage rend l'alimentation du brûleur tributaire du fonctionnement de l'installation de pulvérisation.
