Schappe. Fil obtenu par filature de divers déchets de soie recueillis en filature et au tissage. Contrairement à la soie extraite d'un cocon qui est un fil continu, le fil résultant de la filature de déchets est un fil discontinu. Après tissage, on obtient un tissu assez fin, soyeux, brillant, mais moins résistant qu'un tissu fait de fils continus.
