These vertebrae bear long ribs ... The majority of the thoracic vertebrae have very tall neural spines, directed caudad, short centra, small pre-and-post-zygapophyses, and short stout transverse processes (diapophyses) to whose outer ends the tubercula of the ribs articulate.
