El aceite de semilla de tomate se obtiene de las semillas de los tomates, subproducto de la fabricación de conservas. Su contenido varia del 18 al 27 %; es rico en ácido oleico y en linoleico, que en conjunto constituyen el 80-85 % , no obstante se ha encontrado que el linoleico varia 38.7 al 67% y el oleico, del 16 al 49%, el resto un 15-20%, son ácidos grasos saturados.
