Record 1 1993-02-25

English

Subject field(s)
  • Pulp Preparation (papermaking)
CONT

Subsequent to the introduction and application of magnesium and sodium bases, several two-stage sulfite pulping methods using these bases have been developed and utilized commercially. These methods are generally characterized by a dramatic change in cooking pH between the initial stage (for penetration and sulfonation) and the second stage (for dissolution and removal of the lignin). In most cases, the recovery system is well integrated with the pulping process.

Domaine(s)
  • Préparation de la pâte à papier
CONT
