A disease characterized by the formation of calculi in any part of the urinary tract.

Urolithiasis is an important disease of castrated male ruminants, because of the common occurrence of urethral obstruction. Obstruction of the urethra is characterized clinically by complete retention of urine, unsuccessful efforts to urinate, distension of the bladder and the sequelae of urethral perforation and rupture of the bladder.
