Que tu prennes (le corps) pour répondre. Que tu arrêtes le débiteur pour qu'il réponde de sa dette. Le capias ad respondum (art. 894 et s. de l'ancien Code de procédure civile) était un bref ordonnant d'arrêter et assigner un débiteur qui menaçait d'échapper à son créancier en quittant la province, en cachant ses biens, etc. Ce bref d'origine anglaise a été aboli par le nouveau Code de procédure civile.
