The grams of copper in cuprous oxide resulting from the reduction of CuSO4 by 100 g of pulp or paper fibres. It is a seldom-used test to measure mainly the carbonyl groups in pulps which may contribute to the deterioration of strength and brightness of pulp or paper on aging.
